Mina was born in Berlin, grew up in Munich, traveled through Asia, studied in Lüneburg and yet she is a Hamburger at heart. Art has always been an integral part of her life – from crafting with her mother as a child to graduating from high school with a degree in art. She loves experimenting with a variety of mediums, such as classic acrylic painting, clay modeling, and now tattooing.
Tattoos, their history and cultural significance, have fascinated her since her youth and now she has found the right environment at Kodiak to not only be a canvas, but an artist herself.
Her inspirations, thanks to films by Tim Burton or Guillermo del Toro, have been in the fantastic, mystical and macabre since childhood. That’s why most of her designs include a lot of black, a good dose of humor and a somewhat twisted perspective.
